At Taly's Art Studio we believe that every child and grown up has the capability to create. We believe that making art is good for you; It is good for your soul, and it is good for your body. 

Working with young kids, we believe that every child should feel comfortable to express his own life experience through open ended art. No predetermined results are expected from the kids and the only limitations are the materials, techniques and format being used in each class.

As kids get older, and are capable of grasping more of the artistic world around them, we expose them to different artists and learn from their art, as well as to art concepts such as composition and perspective. Still, the kids are always the artists and the ones who make choices about their art. 

Adults can work individually or seek more instructions. In our mixed media classes, adult students have been introduce to a variety of techniques of collage and mixed media. The artwork that is done in the studio varies from wall art to 3D sculptures, mobiles, and usable art. Very small groups allows for attention and positive critiques from fellow students.

About Taly

​Taly Shemy has been creating art for as long as she can remember.
In school she was always drawing something on her notebooks while trying to listen to her teachers, but she did listen to one particular teacher who insisted that she should pursue a career as an artist. Taly graduated from "Ha' Midrasha" (meaning school in Hebrew) for the Teachers of Art and taught elementary, middle, and high school children, including preparation for the final exams in art history. All that was done in Israel, before moving to California in 1997. Taly opened her art studio in 2003 and has been teaching art to kids and adults ever since. Besides teaching, Taly is busy creating her own art, while living with her husband and 3 girls in her Sunnyvale based home.
